I truly enjoy educating my patients on oral health and disease and I use a co-diagnostic approach to work with them to determine which treatment best fits their personal oral health goals. Committed to Professional Excellence
Dr. Andrus has earned the designation of Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry. This course of advanced training requires exceptional dedication to dental continuing education and the completion of a rigorous program of study that demands excellence. Only about 6 percent of general dentists in the U.S. and Canada have qualified for AGD Fellow status.
To become an AGD Fellow, a dentist must:
- Complete over 500 credit hours of CE
- Earn 350 of those 500 credits in live courses
- Pass an exam equal in difficulty to board certification exams
Continuing Education & Professional Memberships
Dr. Andrus is an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry, Oklahoma Academy of General Dentistry, and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry.
Dr. Andrus understands the common phobia of dentistry and offers three levels of sedation to help his patients overcome this fear; Nitrous Oxide Sedation, Oral Conscious Sedation, and our strongest level of sedation- Intravenous Sedation.
He is also trained in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support and Basic Life Support. He is a 2018 and 2019 Invisalign Gold Plus Provider and has earned a Fellowship from New York University in Implant Dentistry.
Life & Hobbies
Prior to entering the dental field, Dr. Andrus served five years in the Marine Corps at Camp Pendleton, Okinawa, Japan, and Iraq. He volunteers multiple times every year throughout the state to provide dentistry to those in need.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Andrus enjoys spending time with his wife, Faviola, and two children, Makayla and Denise. When he is not with his family, he spends his time running, weightlifting, and playing outdoor sports.
